ANNUAL EVENTS
CASA is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization and operates on grants and donations from businesses and the community. Fundraising is essential in order to continue providing services to the more than 500 children and youth that we serve each year. Without the support of the community, we could not serve all of the abused children who enter the system.
Annual Fundraising Events Sponsor:
Your company can be a sponsor at one of our two annual fundraising events. This always entitles you to tables at our events and can be a rewarding pleasure for your most dedicated staff.
- Retro Party is a 60’s, 70’s, 80's and 90's "come as you were” dance that is held each spring on the last Saturday of April at the Harris Pavilion, featuring a "Rock n Roll Convergence" with 3 local bands performing live on stage. This draws about 500 people.
- Evening Under the Stars The Second Saturday of each September is CASA's Signature Event. The annual black tie optional swing dance is held in Old Town Manassas at the Harris Pavilion in Old Town Manassas. This elegant event draws as many as 1,000 people.
- Adopt a Child Program It costs about $1,200 to provide an advocate for a child for one year. Your business, organization, family or individuals can sponsor the provision of an advocate to a child for all or part of a year. The donation can be a one time gift or $100 each month. There are more than 400 children that are served by GPW CASA each year. Please consider being a sponsor.

"All in Motion" to Stop Child Abuse will be held on October 15th from 8:30AM-4PM at the fields of the McCoart County Complex in Prince William County. Be a part of the movement! Help stop child abuse in our community by joining hundreds of others for a fun-filled day in motion, from aerobics to zumba, as we move together for safe and permanent homes for maltreated children. Every 30 minutes the motion changes. Register solo or form a team. Individuals and teams that raise the most will be awarded prizes.
A Uniquely Yours Company Fundraising Event:
Your business or organization can help CASA to provide advocates to the children by holding your own exclusive event involving your staff, clients or patrons. Your event will raise money for CASA but should be uniquely created around the work of your company or the interests of your staff and clients. Those that are most often done are runs, walks, bowling, biking, pancake breakfasts, bar-b-que etc. A more unique approach is to tie it to your work. For instance, Bub's Travel could have a campaign called Cruisin' to Save a Child and tie cruises between certain dates to raising an amount of money. This could involve your clients and help promote them as well. You will have an opportunity to place an article and perhaps an ad that talks about your company or an ad that could list all of the clients you have who contribute to your campaign promoting both your business and that of your client as partners to the children in the community. While this may seem a little self serving to businesses like yours that seek to help with anonymity, it helps non-profits as a whole when a business promotes how they are helping charities to other businesses in the area. It encourages them to develop their own giving program.
